Billing model

One rate covers everything — no tiers, no per-seat pricing, no recurrence.

All work is billed hourly. Whether you need managed support, project delivery, consulting, assessments, or compliance work, the rate is the same. Business hours are billed at $165.00/hour. After-hours, weekend, and urgent work is $225.00/hour.

Billing is in 30-minute increments with a one-hour minimum per engagement. Invoicing is monthly in arrears based on hours logged. No monthly minimums, no long-term commitments required.

What's covered at the standard rate

Remote infrastructure management, helpdesk and support during business hours, project delivery, assessments, consulting, and technical design.

What services you can hire

All of them. Managed IT support, compliance consulting, AI deployment, SaaS audits, infrastructure migration, business automation, and documentation.

What's not included in hourly work

Hardware, software, and cloud licences are quoted separately at cost plus 15%. These cover the materials only, not the labour to install or configure them.

How to estimate project cost

Assessments publish estimated hours above. For projects, you receive a scope document with estimated hours before work begins, billed at the standard hourly rate.

03

Materials and setup

Hourly rates cover labour. These items are quoted separately.

Hourly work pays for engineering time and problem-solving. The materials and services you consume — hardware, software, subscriptions, cloud resources, and third-party services — are quoted and invoiced separately at cost plus 15% for hardware and software resale.

Hardware and equipment

Servers, firewalls, network gear, access points, storage, and appliances are quoted at cost plus 15%. Quoted before purchase, never as a surprise.

Software and cloud subscriptions

Microsoft 365, cloud infrastructure, security tools, and SaaS products are billed at cost plus 15%. The labour to deploy and configure them is a separate hourly charge.

Incident response and emergency work

Cyber incidents are project work billed at $225.00/hour, never absorbed into ongoing agreements. Emergency response has a two-hour minimum.

04

Hourly rates

Simple, published rates for all work.

All technical and consulting work uses one of two rates. Billing is in 30-minute increments with a one-hour minimum per engagement. Work is logged daily and invoiced monthly in arrears.

Common projects, billed at the standard rate.

Projects are billed hourly like everything else. Below are typical hour ranges for common project types, based on past engagements — hardware, licences, and cloud consumption are quoted separately at cost plus 15%. Every project starts with a scope document stating estimated hours before work begins.

Boundaries

What is deliberately out of scope, and what we are not licensed to do.

Clarity on boundaries prevents misunderstandings. Below is what falls outside technical engagement scope and what California licensing restrictions prohibit.

Cyber incident response and recovery
Investigation, containment, forensics, notification, and rebuild are project work at the hourly rate, never included in ongoing service agreements. Incidents are priced transparently and separately.
Line-of-business applications
Platform management and vendor liaison are in scope, but configuration, customization, training, and defect resolution inside specialized software are the publisher’s responsibility.
Projects and major change requests
Work with a defined start, end, and unique output is a separate engagement. Any single request over eight hours is treated as a project with a separate scope and fee.
Unapproved cloud and SaaS services
Subscriptions purchased outside the IT planning process are outside coverage until formally onboarded and documented.
End-of-life equipment and unsupported software
Monitoring is available for deprecated kit, but active maintenance is not. End-of-life items appear in the roadmap with a replacement date.
Hardware, software, and licence cost
All equipment and licences needed to resolve issues are quoted separately at cost plus 15%. Service fees cover labour, not materials.

Licensing restrictions

California licensing requirements restrict certain work. We do not perform:

  • Structured cabling, network drops, low-voltage wiring and patch-panel work
  • Physically mounting racks, access points or cameras
  • Electrical work, new circuits, conduit
  • Alarm installation, servicing or monitoring
  • Locksmithing and fitting access-control hardware
  • Digital forensics or investigations for hire
  • Reselling voice or VoIP service as the carrier of record

We handle the design, configuration, and management work; licensed contractors perform the cabling, electrical, and mounting work. We then integrate, secure, and manage the result.

CMMC and DFARS compliance

On 13 July 2026 the Department of War suspended CMMC Phase II certification but DFARS 252.204-7012 and NIST SP 800-171 compliance remain in force. We provide 800-171 implementation, documentation, and evidence packages. We are not assessors, C3PAOs, or Registered Provider Organizations.

Next step

Start with a clear assessment at $165.00/hour.

A fixed-scope assessment includes network documentation, risk review, and a prioritized roadmap. All covered at the standard rate.
